Nose Fish has been present on the playa since 2003.  The history of our camp from 2003-2010 can be found here.

In 2011, Nose Fish expanded our EL Wire Repair services to include more hours and more opportunities for participants of Black Rock City to help other burners repair their EL Wire projects.  We were honored to be named an LNT model camp by the Earth Guardians.  We continue to extend our LNT model by further reducing our total take-home garbage, recycling, and active participation of the playa compost project. Our goal is to produce zero waste.

For some years, we served up warm, delicious quesadillas at night so the denizens of BRC had some food in their bellies before a night of adventures on the playa. Until recently, the MEZ video screen interactive video experience has a big night time hit.

In subsequent years, Nose Fish added bike repair as well as other types of electronics repair such as LEDs and small devices.  We’ve added a solar powered sewing machine for textile repairs. In various years, we’ve distributed custom stenciled underwear with our morning coffee service – Very popular!
